Many Gasmate models have a half grid (for flame cooking) half hotplate (for pan or stir frying effect) configuration. Many models have a hot plate that is flat on one side and ribbed on the other and can be flipped to suit what is being cooked. The ribbed side will drain the fat from the meat more effectively.
